Many thanks to Megan Wolford, Vicki McQuaid, Raneigh Watts, Paige Mayo, Ra Paxton, Dawna Adkins, Catherine Casto, Kristin Dyger, Tina Adkins, Luke Fornash, Carolyn Fornash, Leisa Castle, Jamie Berglund, and Jill May for taking care of the book fair. I hope I didn’t miss anyone. Please let me know if I did.
We have a short week next week. There is no school on Friday!
4th grade will be presenting their WV program Monday, at 6:00.
Please keep up with activities using the calendar sent home last week, the school website, and the county website. We also try to post things to the Kellogg Boosters page.
We received some sad news last week regarding our 5K. The city of Huntington did not approve our request. The plan was that we would begin with a carnival during the school day for all students then continue with the 5K that evening. Plans were being outlined for each grade to fill baskets to purchase chances on and we would have other activities and concessions throughout the 5K. As you know the 5K funds some of our extra activities after school and is a really positive way to promote and support fitness. Our Girls on the Run members were especially looking forward to participating this year. If you have any ideas or suggestions please contact Mr. Carey.
We will be having popcorn on Thursday for the next 3 weeks so those grade levels will still be able to add to their accounts.
Congratulations to Hallee Gwilliams, Kenzie Perrine, Holley Riggs, Ashlee Conley, and Maggie Ronk. They will be performing with the WV All-State Children’s Chorus next weekend. They will be performing March 11th, 7:00 p.m. at the Charleston Municipal Auditorium.
Kellogg student’s artwork is being displayed at the SVHS library this month and will be in the commons area during the All-County Choir concert on March 22 at 6:00.
Have a great weekend!
