Counseling
Meet our counselor
Jana Peek
I graduated from Ohio University in 2011 with a Bachelors in Middle Childhood Education with a concentration in Language Arts and Social Studies. In August of 2011, I began my teaching career in Wayne County Schools, and I have also taught in Kentucky and Ohio. During those 10 years, I taught English in grades 6-10. In May of 2021, I completed a Masters in School Counseling, and in August I was welcomed back to Wayne County Schools to serve as an Elementary Counselor.

MISSION STATEMENT
The staff of Kellogg Elementary believes that all children shall be given the opportunity to learn to their maximum potential. We believe that students will realize the maximum potential with a well-rounded education that includes an emphasis on physical fitness, nutrition, civic literacy, and global awareness, in addition to a rigorous academic curriculum. We believe our students will meet 21st century skills with the implementation of research-based practices and technology advancements. Our students will be Learners Today and Leaders Tomorrow.
